AnyMind Group, a commerce enablement company, has agreed to acquire all shares issued by Indonesia-based eDistributor and e-commerce enabler, PT Digital Distribusi Indonesia (DDI).
Through the acquisition, DDI will become a wholly owned subsidiary of AnyMind Group. This is the first acquisition agreed by the company since its listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market on 29 March 2023, and the first agreement for AnyMind Group to acquire a company in Indonesia.
Through this acquisition and by combining the capabilities of both companies – AnyMind Group with its technology for end-to-end commerce and global partner networks and DDI’s local e-commerce operations team and customer network in Indonesia – the company looks to form the basis to accelerate expansion into the e-commerce space in Asia.
On the acquisition of DDI, Kosuke Sogo, CEO and co-founder of AnyMind Group, said: “We recognized the market potential of Indonesia and made it one of the first few markets we expanded into.

DDI was founded in 2019 by entrepreneur and CEO, Tatum Kembara. Before founding DDI, Kembara was vice president of business growth at Indonesian e-commerce marketplace, Blibli, and also held corporate and analyst roles at companies such as Sale Stock, A.T. Kearney.
Kembara started her career spending six years in FMCG distribution before graduating from Havard University. Kembara will be joining AnyMind Group’s management team as managing director, and DDI’s current management team will continue to be involved in the management of DDI after the acquisition.
DDI provides a range of services across the e-commerce value chain to enterprises in Indonesia, with a focus on consumer goods brands. This includes e-commerce strategy development, warehouse and logistics management, automated store operations, mobile marketing, customer support and more.
On the merger with AnyMind Group, Kembara said: “From the get-go, we recognized the synergy that both companies have: DDI with our expertise in the e-commerce space in Indonesia, and AnyMind with their technology and partner network. We know that both companies can only move upwards from here, and provide both sets of customers with the best of both worlds.”
DDI is the company’s first acquisition of an e-commerce enabler, and eighth acquisition globally, which includes publisher trading desks FourM (Japan-based; acquired in 2017) and Acqua Media (Hong Kong-based; acquired in 2018), influencer networks Moindy (Thailand-based; acquired in 2019) and GROVE (Japan-based; acquired in 2019), mobile advertising company POKKT Mobile Ads (India-based; acquired in 2020), direct-to-consumer fitness apparel brand LÝFT (Japan-based; acquired in 2020), and cross-border marketing firm ENGAWA (Japan-based; acquired in 2021).
