Handong Engineering & Construction JSC (Handong E&C) has been recognized as a winner in the Green Leadership category at the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2024. Presented by leading regional NGO Enterprise Asia, an award from AREA serves as a badge of excellence, encouraging further innovation and best-practice sharing.
The “Handong’s Initiative for a Greener Future” project showcases the company’s commitment to driving positive change and making a social impact in the workplace, in personal life, and within the local community. Through this, Handong E&C aspires to lead in creating a greener future, connecting communities, and striving for sustainable development.
Among the activities under this project are the “Green Day” activities, which are conducted every two months. These include cycling and running challenges for employees, their children, and partners. Every Friday at the construction site, Handong E&C focuses on environmental cleaning and waste collection. The company also organizes the “Green Kid” contest to encourage children to make positive changes to their environment. At the headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, activities such as planting trees, collecting batteries, and saving energy are carried out to raise environmental awareness among employees.
Looking to the future, Handong E&C will continue to expand the scope of “Handong GREEN” activities in upcoming projects, alongside social work with the Handong LIGHT Foundation, and will build a sustainable corporate culture through the “Handong HUMAN” initiative.
