To address the gap in meal provision for the elderly and to solve the problem of insufficient delivery manpower faced by charitable organizations, President Chain Store Corp. initiated the “Good Neighbor Meal Delivery Team” project in 2014. This project mobilizes 7-ELEVEN partners to collaborate with four major charitable organizations to deliver meals, effectively supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger.

Over the past decade, this initiative has partnered with four major charitable organizations, including the Mennonite Social Welfare Foundation, the Sisters of Our Lady of China Catholic Charity Social Welfare Foundation, the A Kernel of Wheat Foundation, and the Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation.

In 2023, the company planted 120 hectares of low-carbon rice and achieved a significant reduction in food waste, which translated to a reduction of 1,876.6 tons of carbon emissions.
