As an icon of responsible business practices, Tex Year Industries Inc. This year, the company has also won a trophy under the Green Leadership category at the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2024, organized by leading regional NGO, Enterprise Asia.
Since 2021, Tex Year Industries Inc. (Tex Year) has combined its CSR mission with global R&D capabilities, joining upper/lower stream strategic partners to build Green Materials for the Green Platform Strategy® (GPS®) platform. Through various information exchanges, workshops, collaborative development activities, and engagement with all members, Tex Year works hard to jointly develop Green Material technologies. These efforts are spurred by its CSR project titled “Tex Year GPS Green Platform Strategy – The Green Navigator of Sustainability”.
As a leader in the industry, Tex Year utilizes its supply chain to provide environmentally friendly products to customers, fulfilling corporate responsibility in the transition to a low-carbon economy. Under the implementation of the GPS®, Tex Year is advancing specific sustainable development initiatives, developing a series of sustainable products, and fulfilling its corporate responsibility for environmental sustainability.
As a part of the CSR project’s results, Tex Year achieved a growth rate of 8.5% in the use of new Green Materials in product development, with innovative products accounting for approximately 21%, and upgrading traditional products to green products using new materials or technologies accounting for 79%. Besides that, the company’s biodegradable products have obtained multiple international certifications.
On another note, GPS® members can participate in meetings or public events organized by the platform to share and exchange their technical expertise, contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of the GPS® in Green Material technology.
