The Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2024 is presented by the leading regional NGO Enterprise Asia. The AREA is the most reputable award recognition program recognizing organizational efforts in creating a culture of compassion, and integrity and in being socially responsible corporate citizens.
NagaWorld Limited was among the recipients who were conferred with awards for Social Empowerment, Green Leadership, and Investment in People categories. These awards were given for the company’s “Integrated Sustainable Development: Empowering Communities Through Education, Sports And Environmental Care”, “A Sustainable And Green Cambodia Through Nagaworld Kind Hearts”, and “Training for Success, Engaging for Growth” CSR projects respectively.
The “Integrated Sustainable Development: Empowering Communities Through Education, Sports And Environmental Care” campaign supports the “NagaWorld Kind Hearts” initiative launched in 2014. The “NagaWorld Kind Hearts” framework emphasizes a holistic approach to community and environmental impact. It includes education programs aimed at improving academic outcomes for students in underserved communities, community engagement efforts to support vulnerable groups, sports development to foster talent and teamwork, and environmental care initiatives to promote sustainability. The program has led to 688 activities involving thousands of employees, benefiting over half a million individuals across Cambodia. These efforts have ranged from educational support for over 210,000 students to substantial contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic, providing essential supplies to nearly 100,000 people.
In addition to community-oriented initiatives, NagaWorld Limited has recently focused on enhancing employee development through its “Training for Success, Engaging for Growth” series. Launched in 2023, this program includes a variety of training and engagement activities designed to improve employee skills and morale. Key components of the initiative include Leadership Series 1.0, Excel Workshops, and language courses, alongside team-building activities such as the NagaWorld Olympians and Football Championship. The introduction of MyPortal, the company’s intranet platform, ensures that employees stay informed and engaged with ongoing development opportunities.
The framework for these initiatives integrates both online and face-to-face learning opportunities, catering to different learning preferences and promoting a supportive work environment. Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with significant improvements in leadership skills, communication, and overall job satisfaction reported. The initiative’s success is also reflected in higher employee retention rates and enhanced organizational performance.
Furthermore, NagaWorld has demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability through projects like the “Green Cambodia” and “Soap for Hope” campaigns. These efforts have included waste management programs and educational workshops on sustainability, which have impacted thousands of individuals and contributed to reducing the company’s environmental footprint. For instance, the Black Soldier Fly Compost project helps manage organic waste and produce feed, showcasing NagaWorld’s dedication to innovative environmental solutions.
