Excellence Optoelectronics Inc (EOI) was among the recipients who were conferred with awards under the Social Empowerment, Corporate Governance, and Corporate Sustainability Reporting categories.
The company’s “SHARE LOVE, WARM THE HEART.” project was recognized under the Social Empowerment category. This is a monthly charity that is a part of the company’s annual charity action plan, integrating benefits with ongoing and diverse activities to invite colleagues to participate. Additionally, EOI has long-term collaborations with several charitable organizations, gaining deeper insights into the challenges faced by different groups each year. In 2023, EOI cumulatively donated at least NTD 1.5 million, benefiting more than 2,500 people. The company also promoted supply chain commitments and actively implemented carbon reduction goals.
For the Corporate Governance category, EOI presented its “EOI’s Sustainable Corporate Governance” project which is focused on LED energy-saving and carbon-reduction products as its main business since its establishment. This project is meant to promote sustainable development, enhance international competitiveness, and ultimately evolve into a sustainable and outstanding enterprise. As a part of its achievements, EOI’s sustainable management philosophy has also been recognized in the Taiwan Stock Exchange’s corporate governance evaluations, in which it has risen to the market value category of NTD 5-10 billion, ranking in the top 6%-10% of companies.
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting category recognizes EOI’s “Excellence Optoelectronics Inc. Sustainability Report 2022”. In order to achieve the goal of sustainable operation, EOI has long emphasized forward-looking learning and innovative breakthroughs within the team and has been implementing ESG comprehensively since 2011 by introducing ESG concepts and knowledge. To improve the sustainable development (ESG) system and strengthen EOI’s competitiveness in the capital market, the company is working to revise the “Code of Practice for Corporate Sustainability”.
