DHL Supply Chain and AutoStore Forge Strategic Partnership to Revolutionize Global Warehousing

DHL Supply Chain, a leading player in contract logistics, and AutoStore, a pioneering robotic technology company specializing in automated storage and retrieval systems, are strengthening their collaboration to advance automated warehouse operations globally.

With nine operational AutoStore warehouse projects and four more in the planning stage, DHL Supply Chain is on track to become one of AutoStore’s largest 3PL clients, emphasizing their commitment to digitalization and automation. The existing nine systems manage 800,000 bins, and the upcoming four systems will increase the total to an impressive 1.2 million bins. Additionally, DHL plans to construct five more facilities, expanding their automated capabilities further.

This innovative automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) technology optimizes inventory management within warehouses, especially for businesses handling smaller products like fashion and tech items. DHL and AutoStore aim to accelerate the adoption of this groundbreaking technology, enhancing their ability to meet diverse client needs.

The collaboration has led to the deployment of over 1,000 robots worldwide, enhancing operational efficiency and throughput.
