JJ-LAPP, the cable technology joint venture of Jebsen & Jessen Group and LAPP Holding Asia, has announced a strategic partnership with Deye, a leading global player in the solar inverter market. This collaboration will see JJ-LAPP managing the sales, distribution, and service support of Deye’s full range of solar energy products and solutions, marking the debut of Deye’s cutting-edge solar technology in Malaysia.
Aligned with the Malaysia Renewable Energy Roadmap (MyRER) and the nation’s decarbonisation targets under the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) 2030, this partnership is set to bolster Malaysia’s renewable energy (RE) share, which aims to reach 31% by 2025.
As the country accelerates its adoption of RE, the introduction of Deye’s innovative solutions is poised to enhance access to advanced solar technologies for businesses and consumers.
JJ-LAPP will act as Deye’s technology partner in Malaysia, overseeing a diverse product portfolio, including solar inverters, storage power plants, solar air conditioners, and more.
At the MoU signing and product launch event, Deye unveiled its latest offerings, including low- and high-voltage inverters, advanced batteries, balcony energy storage systems, and the Deye Cloud smart management platform.
These products, designed for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, will complement JJ-LAPP’s existing range of renewable energy solutions, such as solar panels, battery storage systems, EV charging stations, and floating solar solutions.
Marc von Grabowski, CEO of JJ-LAPP, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, “We see enormous potential in Malaysia’s renewable energy sector, especially in solar power.
Partnering with Deye enables us to offer a comprehensive suite of innovative renewable energy solutions, driving Malaysia’s transition towards a greener and more energy-efficient future.”
James Yuk, Vice President of Deye APAC, echoed this sentiment, saying, “We are delighted to partner with JJ-LAPP as our total solution provider in Malaysia. With JJ-LAPP’s extensive market knowledge and reach, we aim to expand the adoption of our reliable and efficient solar solutions, advancing our mission to promote solar energy globally.”
This collaboration represents a significant milestone in Malaysia’s renewable energy journey, offering cutting-edge technology to support the nation’s sustainability goals.
