The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) invites industry players and qualified entities to participate in the fifth edition of the National Energy Awards (NEA). Submissions are open from 18 November 2024 until 19 February 2025.
Organized by PETRA through the Malaysia Green Technology & Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) as the secretariat, the NEA celebrates sustainable energy achievements in Malaysia, focusing on renewable energy (RE) technologies and energy efficiency practices. Since its inception in 2018, NEA has attracted 1,147 participants, with 169 winners representing Malaysia at the ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA).
As Malaysia assumes the ASEAN chairmanship in 2025, PETRA aims to spotlight the country’s excellence at the upcoming AEA, set to take place in Kuala Lumpur. PETRA invites industry players and qualified entities with RE technologies or energy efficiency initiatives to participate in NEA 2025 across four categories:
- Category 1: Energy Management
- Category 2: Energy Efficient Building
- Category 3: Renewable Energy
- Category 4: Special Awards
PETRA is confident that NEA provides an ideal platform to showcase industry best practices in sustainable energy, demonstrating Malaysia’s innovative capabilities in optimizing energy use.
