MIKOBEAUTÉ International Co., Ltd. (MIKOBEAUTÉ) was among the recipients who were conferred with the Social Empowerment Award. Founded in 2002 and listed in 2017 (stock code 6574), MIKOBEAUTÉ’s operation is centered around its culture of “The Creation of Beauty, Science, and Value Mindset.” MIKOBEAUTÉ provides quality products and services for women in the regions of Taiwan and Asia.
Penghu County is composed of over 90 small islands and is the hometown beloved by the two founders of MIKOBEAUTÉ. For a long time, the beautiful small islands faced challenges such as unequal distribution of educational resources, declining birth rate, and population outflow. The founders of MIKOBEAUTÉ hope to contribute to their hometown by launching the “Happy Penghu Public Welfare Project” that began in 2021. Through participation in various public welfare activities, they have done their best to help their hometown, set an example for others to follow, and inspire more people to value the care and development of rural areas.
The main goal of the “Happy Penghu Public Welfare Project” is to help disadvantaged children, young people, and residents in remote areas of Penghu. This was done by providing more resources and learning opportunities to improve their quality of life and increase their chances of success. This project encouraged MIKOBEAUTÉ to collaborate with various public organizations, schools, and other groups to provide practical goods, funds, or support to help disadvantaged groups and local children in Penghu with more resources and learning opportunities.
The launch of this project was made to show the gratitude and desire to give back to the hometown of the founders of MIKOBEAUTÉ, as well as become the company’s principal axis on philanthropy in recent years. By working towards the goal of caring for Penghu’s local community, the corporate image is unified and extended.
At this stage, the “Happy Penghu Public Welfare Project” has launched several programs, and the following are the achievements up to date. In 2021, the project donated quality children’s magazines to sponsoring rural schools, providing high-quality reading materials and learning resources to help improve the education quality and reading abilities of students at rural schools.
In 2022, MIKOBEAUTÉ donated medical equipment for supporting epidemic prevention. The donated medical equipment can strengthen local epidemic prevention measures and assist residents in tackling health-related problems.
From 2022 to 2023, the company joined Taipei Medical University for volunteer medical consultation. Under this project, MIKOBEAUTÉ was able to provide medical care, community care, life support, and health education to offer essential medical assistance and support for residents.
The “Happy Penghu Public Welfare Project” will continue to collaborate with local governments, non-profit organizations, schools, and other entities to promote various charity activities through integrated resources and to expand the project’s influence and sustainability. Through these activities, MIKOBEAUTÉ seeks to drive the development of healthcare and education in Penghu, while promoting care, love, and positive values.
