With a clear focus on the UN SDGs, Nan Shan Life Insurance’s dedication to carrying out excellent CSR projects has been a great contribution to the community and society at large. Thus, the company is a prime example of a winning responsible enterprise as recognized by the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2024, organized by leading regional NGO, Enterprise Asia.
The company’s “Mommy and Baby Care Service” project and “Nan Shan Life 2023 Corporate Sustainability Report” were presented as the winning CSR projects for the Health Promotion and Corporate Sustainability Reporting categories respectively.
To address the low birthrate trend in Taiwan, Nan Shan Life Insurance partners with Health Protection Circle, offering women comprehensive pregnancy protections and services and supporting national productivity with the “Mommy and Baby Care Service” project. The project has introduced an innovative maternity and infant insurance policy that provides comprehensive childbirth protection while also addressing women’s fertility needs throughout the entire process. Highlights of the project include Pre-Pregnancy Care: AMH ovarian function check, egg freezing, embryo freezing; Pregnancy Care: Exercise, nutrition, mood support, cord blood stem cell storage; and Childbirth Care: Recovery meals, maternity, and baby supplies.
This innovative policy benefits thousands of families within a year of its launch, and specifically, the “Nan Shan Life Mommy Care Term Insurance” (MOMMY CARE) has reached over 5,000 families, promoting correct knowledge about fertility and pre-pregnancy planning. The policy has achieved 4,477 sales, receiving strong support from policyholders.
In regards to the award that Nan Shan Life Insurance won under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting category, the company integrates company resources to achieve comprehensive efficiency and core functions, maximizes social influence, and has adopted the H.E.A.R.T. strategy (Health Promotion, Earth Conservation, Action for Good, Reliability, and Talent Empowerment).
The responsible unit for the “Nan Shan Life 2023 Sustainability Report” is the Corporate Sustainability Committee. The content was provided, compiled, and consoled by various departments, Nan Shan Life Charity Foundation and the subsidiary Nan Shan General Insurance and has been approved by the President and submitted to the Board of Directors.
