NCT Group collaborates with SOCSO to strengthen talent development

NCT Group of Companies has taken a significant step forward in its efforts to promote employment and enhance talent acquisition in Selangor through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).

The MoU demonstrates the company’s unwavering dedication to creating more job opportunities and developing a skilled workforce in the State, particularly in relation to its upcoming industrial park project, NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP).

As part of the MoU, a MYFutureJobs satellite centre will be established at NSIP to provide better access to the job portal for job seekers. To further facilitate the utilization of MYFutureJobs, SOCSO will provide technical training for career coordinators and career consultations to job seekers through a series of engagement sessions.

In addition, various employability programs will be available for job seekers, including workshops on employability skills, career talks by industry leaders, mock interview sessions, and sessions on building resumes and self-grooming.

Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy, the Founder and Group Managing Director of NCT Group of Companies said “We are pleased to continue the momentum in preparation for the NSIP project, and the partnership with SOCSO is a crucial step in achieving our goal of creating more than 50,000 job opportunities at NSIP during the construction and numerous employment opportunities for Malaysians once it is completed. The collaboration is set to further strengthen the local workforce and contribute significantly to the socioeconomic growth of the region.”

As ensuring workplace health and safety is the top priority at NSIP, SOCSO will work closely with NCT Group to promote and educate occupational safety and health at the workplace, aimed at creating a secure and supportive working environment at the facility.

Furthermore, both parties are committed to providing a diverse range of opportunities to Malaysians, including conferences, seminars, roadshows, talks, and other individual improvement activities to further assist job seekers develop new skills and knowledge that are relevant to the modern workplace. With the long-term goal to prepare Malaysians for the competitive job market and enhance overall employability in the nation, career advice and guidance will be provided through labour market insights and engagement sessions to further equip Malaysians for the workplace environment.
