Regional NGO Enterprise Asia proudly honored Pilot Construction Sdn Bhd (Pilot) with the esteemed Fast Enterprise Award at the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2023 Malaysia on 2 June 2023. This prestigious recognition underscores Pilot’s agility, resilience, and ability to adapt to evolving market dynamics. The APEA serves as a prominent program to recognize and celebrate enterprises that have demonstrated remarkable achievements, contributing to economic growth and development in the Asia Pacific region.
Pilot was incorporated in Malaysia as a limited company in 1979. Since its inception, it has chosen to specialize in Design, Civil Works, Building, Architectural, MEP and Infra-structure contract works. This far-sighted decision has paid handsome dividends for the company. From a humble beginning, Pilot has now made its mark as a dominant and reputable building contracting firm in Malaysia. The company has built a team of dedicated management staff and
plenty of quality expertise and experience in the civil works and building engineering industries through its many years of numerous projects.
Over the years, Pilot focused and specialized in the delivery of High Technology Industrial Projects and Medical Plant Manufacturing setups. It has established an excellent track record for these projects, successfully completing them in a prompt, effective, and efficient manner to ensure high-quality standard work. Pilot always ensures to deliver all projects “On Time, Cost, Quality, and Safety”. Pilot possesses a strong ability to select and integrate multidisciplined engineering professionals and contractors to execute and successfully complete projects as client satisfaction is the number one priority of the company’s philosophy. Through years of experience, a majority of its clients are still regular clients today.
Pilot is also selective in which projects it will commit to. It critically assesses the nature and demands of the project at hand. Once committed, Pilot not only provides value engineering but also value-added construction solutions, and its commitment to the client and the project will be completed “On Time, Cost, Quality, and Safety”. Pilot prioritizes relationship building with external parties such as authorities, clients, designers, and on-site personnel and has personnel tasked to strengthen relationships both internally and externally. These relationships and connections provide crucial feedback and an external viewpoint that enables the company to chart proper strategic alliances and developments that promote the company’s growth.
The long-term vision for the company is to expand operations beyond Malaysian shores and to be one of the world’s leading and most trusted construction companies by offering its clients valued-added construction solutions. To achieve those goals, Pilot is currently focused on further improving the company’s quality to be on par with international standards.
Moving forward, Pilot intends to specialize in semi-conduction factory construction whereby being involved in CSA and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Process) as a General Contractor. The company intends to achieve this through continuous improvement and human resources management. In order to meet the growing demand of its clients, especially in the northern peninsular, a branch office will be opened to serve Pilot’s clients in a more timely and speedy manner.
