SHELL Malaysia has launched the nation’s first fuel payment app, which is also designed as a one-stop contact-less service tool without the need to leave the comforts of your car.
Aside from making payments for fuel, the app provides users with a range of options to enhance their customer experience at Shell stations.
For example, the integration with BonusLink on the app allows customers to earn BonusLink points from 3,000 merchants as well as redeem Shell exclusive rewards. All of this without the need for a BonusLink or credit card.
The app is also able to curate a personalised offer based on customers’ habitual preferences to enhance their experiences at Shell. Users are also able to track every spend and BonusLink points earned from the app.
“People expect convenience through innovation and choice in today’s fast-paced world. Given our synonymity in innovating mobility solutions, the Shell App serves as a pivotal component to elevate experiences for all our customers at Shell,” said Mobility general manager Seow Lee Ming.
“It (the app) not only allows our customers to pay for fuel securely from inside their cars but also ensures that all journeys are easier and more rewarding. Our aim is to enhance their experience and make things even more convenient for them,” she added.
Downloadable on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the Shell App is protected by a 3-D Secure verification as an added layer of security.
It is currently available for use at 650 Shell service stations and is expected to be available nationwide by the end of 2023 within Malaysia.
