For its Investment in People Award, Sinyi Realty actively expands its social influence by promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainability concepts within the business sector. To cultivate future leaders with business ethics and a mindset for sustainable development, Sinyi School, a unit established by Sinyi Realty and NCCU College of Commerce, has focused on the research and teaching of business ethics from an international perspective with local characteristics since 2012.
Education, research, and promotion are the three pillars of Sinyi School. The school is dedicated to teacher training, curriculum development, talent cultivation, and the promotion of ethical thinking and sustainability concepts. Externally, this school prioritizes assisting other Sinyi Group units by educating them on business ethics and gradually intends to extend its reach to other enterprises.
Sinyi School continues to organize teacher workshops on business ethics with university faculty members across Taiwan, promoting the overall quality of ethics education. To date, nearly 300 university professors and doctoral students have been trained.
Since 2015, in collaboration with CSRone Sustainability, Sinyi School has collected corporate social responsibility reports which are then coded and analyzed, creating a comprehensive database that serves as a valuable resource for academic research and reference for companies in developing sustainable strategies.
The school also encourages all students on campus to go beyond classroom learning and actively engage in social activities. Over the past decade, more than 150 student-initiated volunteer services and sustainability initiatives have been supported by the school and the company.
For its Corporate Sustainability Report Award, Sinyi Realty has become the most trusted brand in the real estate brokerage industry over the past 40 years. The company uses its core competencies and prioritized SDGs to continuously care for the environment, engage in social participation, and implement integrity in governance.
The company’s corporate reporting objectives aim to not only keep up with international standards and trends but also go beyond basic requirements and get third-party verification. In the short-term, Sinyi Realty aims to redefine and develop innovative residential services. Whereas in the long-term, it plans to contribute to the prosperity and development of society while enhancing the inclusiveness of its living services.
Sinyi Realty also monitors and interviews internal experts to identify its material topics before adopting sustainability reporting. Now with various requirements and benchmark learnings, the company learned to collect more information from stakeholders and analyze issues with a broader view. Internally, the company’s Total Ethical Management Committee and all management heads help verify data and ensure consistency in reporting. All the ESG strategic goals and performance are then reviewed and audited by the Board of Directors with an audit supervisor.
