Tadek Ocean Engineering is targeting growth in the Offshore wind sector following an expansion into new UK offices, and a landmark 300 projects.
The firm, which is also celebrating 15 years in business, has opened new offices in One Crown Square, Woking, near London. It comes after posting a significant company milestone delivering more than 300 projects ranging from small prototype works to high-value corporate deals.
Its ambitious growth strategy is underpinned by high-profile delivery partnerships and direct contracts with world-leading brands including Atkins Realis, Allseas, Balmoral Comtec, De Romein Group, DOF, Maersk, Marine Power Systems, N-Sea, Ocean Installer, Oceanwinds, Ricardo, RWE and Venterra.
An agile and independent firm, Tadek specialises in the delivery of pioneering cable systems, risk advisory and analysis work to developers and owners of fixed and floating assets across marine, offshore and subsea sectors; as well as grassroots work in installation analysis and project engineering and management.
The firm is rapidly enhancing expertise in offshore renewables, including pre-FEED optioneering studies to FOW (Floating Offshore Wind) developers plus MRE (Marine Renewable Energy) and floating solar projects.
Tadek CEO R.Raymond said: “Tadek has been delivering complex offshore engineering solutions for more than a decade,” he said. “During that period, we have gradually built a solid reputation supporting some of the largest industry brands around the world.
“Our extensive portfolio of projects has now surpassed the 300 mark, covering a broad range of technical areas from multi-disciplinary engineering, to risk advisory and analysis. With this firm track-record across a multitude of fixed and floating marine assets we are now very actively targeting the burgeoning offshore renewables sector where we have identified significant room for expansion.”
With more than 60% of current projects linked to offshore wind and marine renewables, Tadek is leveraging its extensive hands-on experience to help de-risk projects and streamline execution. Raymond said as the UK targets 50GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030, the need for advanced engineering and risk mitigation services is growing.
“The Floating Offshore Wind sector in particular is evolving rapidly, and Tadek is at the forefront of delivering the technical solutions required to accelerate its deployment. We can play a critical role with knowledge and experience from O&G, fixed & FOW wind, wave & tidal to bring in lessons learnt to optimize project execution and minimize uncertainties in design, installation, and operations.
“Ultimately, this ensures the most robust, cost-effective and timely solutions. Our new office expansion reflects our ambition for growth and strengthens our ability to support industry with practical engineering expertise and strategic consultancy.”
Since establishing in 2010, Tadek has built a strong reputation delivering high-value engineering analysis, consultancy, and project execution. Having historically focussed on five key project delivery areas – Marine Projects, SURF and Marine Analysis, Structural Design, FOW and Floating Systems Design and Naval Architecture – Tadek has now established a sixth focus area dedicated to Advisory Services.
“This is more of a leadership role,” added Raymond. “Rather than operating as a subcontractor, we now speak directly with the end client, advising them on project decisions to ensure the most robust, cost-effective and timely solutions. Over many years, we have built significant experience at the coal face to justify bidding for and leading this type of advisory work.
“We are particularly keen to de-risk investors and owners and make projects work, by advising across the global offshore and renewables market. We’re also keen to engage with technology developers to enable vital success in FOW, MRE and floating solar prototype deployments.
“This kind of work is close to our hearts, having, since 2010, supported the installation of more prototype ocean devices than any offshore firm operating in the market today, assisting moorings, cable installation methods, and contracting. We take great pride in collaborating as a trusted partner with our clients, uniting all stakeholders and project teams.”
Tadek’s sustained financial stability and independence is built on organic growth with zero debt, and a consistent turnover of circa £2m over the past four years and a growing team of over 30 engineers.
