The Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2024 is pleased to honor Taiwan Business Bank (TBB) with an award for its “Taiwan Business Bank Digital Friendly Finance Ecosystem, ESG with Love ~ Barrier-free Living” project under the Social Empowerment category. Presented by leading regional NGO Enterprise Asia, the AREA serves as a badge of excellence to spur further innovation and best-practice sharing for other entrepreneurs.
In recent years, Taiwan Business Bank (TBB) has been actively promoting digital and sustainable transformation to become the preferred bank for SMEs and customers. TBB aims for comprehensive finance, digital friendliness, environmental sustainability, and social welfare.
This is done through a variety of initiatives like ‘Enjoy E-Loans and E-Credit’, an online lending platform offering personal loans, including Pregnancy Support Loans and the Green Go Loans, which provide customers with a convenient, secure, and paperless loan application experience. There is also the ‘i-Money Intelligent Voice Assistant’ which allows customers to use voice commands for common financial functions. Another initiative is called ‘ESG Digital Marketing’, an online account opening service combined with an innovative NFT tree planting and forest conservation marketing plan. Finally, there is the ‘Account Security Protection’ initiative where the bank has taken the lead in the financial industry by introducing app account security designs that provide comprehensive security protection.
Among the achievements made by this CSR project, the ‘i-Money Intelligent Voice Assistant’ initiative received nearly 40,000 incoming calls, averaging 3,300 per month. Top services were NTD transfers (41%), account balance inquiries (23%), and transaction details inquiries (19%). Whereas the ‘ESG Digital Marketing’ initiative managed to achieve 124,032 digital account openings, a 62% increase from 2022. The sustainable empowerment NFTs for forest rehabilitation campaign planted 1,000 trees, reducing carbon emissions by 12 tons per year.
The “Taiwan Business Bank Digital Friendly Finance Ecosystem, ESG with Love ~ Barrier-free Living” project has found great success. TBB is dedicated to empowering its stakeholders and has impressed these principles of altruism and compassion in its employees.
