Vietjet Named Asia’s Premier Airline for Customer Experience 2023

In a remarkable achievement, Vietjet has been crowned Asia’s top airline for customer experience in 2023. This coveted recognition was bestowed upon the airline at the 30th World Travel Awards (WTA) held today in Ho Chi Minh City.

The World Travel Awards (WTA) is a prestigious event in the global travel industry, where international industry leaders and experts gather to celebrate excellence across various sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. Since its inception in 1993, the WTA has become a global symbol of recognition and achievement in these fields.

Vietjet’s ascent to the pinnacle of customer experience in Asia was celebrated by notable figures in the industry attending the awards ceremony. Graham Cooke, founder of World Travel Awards, commended Vietjet for carving out a unique position in the highly competitive aviation market. He emphasized the airline’s commitment to passenger convenience, innovative marketing campaigns, and creativity, all of which have contributed to its reputation for enhancing the overall travel experience. Cooke personally endorsed Vietjet based on his own experiences, praising the airline’s excellent service and delectable in-flight catering.

Vietjet’s victory was attributed to its customer-centric initiatives, particularly the complimentary SkyCare travel insurance package. This package offers comprehensive coverage benefits worth up to VND100 million (approximately RM20,000) for all domestic and international flights.

The airline’s premium Business Class service, featuring comfortable flat-bed seats and exceptional in-flight dining experiences, also played a significant role in securing the top spot. Vietjet’s recently launched SkyJoy loyalty program, which has garnered nearly nine million members, further solidified its position as an industry leader.

Vietjet’s commitment to diversifying its offerings was also acknowledged. The airline introduced a range of products and services, including the “Fly Now – Pay Later” program, travel credit cards, and attractive promotional programs for popular destinations in Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, India, Kazakhstan, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and more.

Michael Hickey, Chief Operating Officer of Vietjet, expressed gratitude to the airline’s loyal customers for their trust and unwavering support. He highlighted Vietjet’s ongoing efforts to enhance the travel experience and meet diverse customer demands.

This accolade from WTA adds to Vietjet’s growing list of prestigious international awards, which includes recognition from renowned organizations such as Skytrax, World Business Outlook, and AirlineRatings.

In celebration of this achievement and as a token of appreciation to its loyal customer base, Vietjet is launching a 24-hour flash sale on September 9th.
