Construction company Zig Zag Builders (M) Sdn Bhd (ZZB) emerged as a Fast Enterprise and garnered significant recognition at the prestigious Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2023 Malaysia. On 2 June 2023, the company was honored with the Fast Enterprise Award and its Director Foo Khai Shin was conferred with the esteemed Master Entrepreneur title. The Fast Enterprise accolade highlights ZZB’s outstanding growth, resilience, and commitment to excellence in the competitive construction sector.
ZZB has been in the market for 11 years, providing consultation, design & build services, construction & architectural services as well as welcoming other trades within the commercial and semiconductor industries. ZZB envisions being at the forefront of well-curated architectural ideas, providing their clients with solutions to their needs as well as displaying professionalism in trades.
The company wishes to display both safety and quality, and its mission is to create trust and faith within the clients. All of ZZB’s projects must enshrine the values of health and safety, honesty, and happiness of its employees and clients, believing that hard work pays off and always being humble no matter the successes achieved.
ZZB’s most recent venture required management to expand its field of view and with this expansion came the addition of start-up of new offices. The management had also set up an entirely new team for the Northern Region consisting of Project Directors, Project Managers, Construction Managers, QAQC & Safety Personnel, Various Supervisors, and an ever-growing number of yellow hats in the field. While the team is new, the people holding these positions are, however, seasoned veterans in their own respective fields. ZZB will always seek to improve and enhance every single working component within the very complex machinery that drives the company forward. Turnover has increased from RM6 million in 2020 to RM11 million in 2022. It is expected to keep growing and sales may increase in the year 2023 and beyond.
ZZB is currently aiming to venture into Malaysia’s neighboring countries with one neighbor in particular, which is Singapore. Plans have been tabled among the higher management and a motion will soon materialize. Opportunities must be sought, and ZZB will tailor its expertise to the needs of the land it steps into. New challenges are being foreseen, hence, this is where the birth of new ideas will emerge, and in due time, exciting news will be announced.
